Trust Something

It started with little whispers in my soul.  “If you leave everything, you will learn that there is so much more to this life.”  In order to discover my path, I could not fear making mistakes.  I left counseling after two years, in order to chase life. With the notion of “entertaining strangers,” constantly pervading my thoughts, the journey began.  Selling most of my stuff, I packed up my car and took to the road.  Without a true destination, I drove north along the Pacific Coast Highway, ready to embrace whatever was in store for me.

For the past four months, I have traveled and worked with the intention of being in the moment and interacting with people on a deeper, more meaningful level.  While technology claims to connect the world, it has been my experience that ipods, telephones, computers, and television have created an isolated lifestyle.  As a culture, we connect digitally, but fail to reach out and connect with those right there in front of us.

I recognize that I am using technology as a means to capture my thoughts, with the hope of reaching a larger audience.  However, I continue in my attempt to remain open to what life is trying to teach me.  In the moment.  I pray that you are inspired to break away and learn from the ordinary in your own life.
